Curtis & Keri are a creative duo whose roots in electronic music stretch back decades, shaping underground scenes, club culture, and the evolution of breakbeat and progressive electronic music. After more than ten years away from the spotlight, they return with renewed purpose — blending experience, artistry, and a cinematic vision that reflects who they’ve become.

 

Curtis — Producer, Composer, Sound Designer (Burufunk)

Curtis Fallis, known globally as Burufunk, is a respected producer whose work helped define the progressive breaks and abstract electronic sound of the late 1990s and early 2000s. His music is known for its intricate sound design, atmospheric depth, and genre‑bending creativity.

His verified accomplishments include:

  • The Skyed Up EP (1998) on Kloud 9 Records — one of his earliest vinyl releases.

  • Elektronique / Solid Motion (1999) on Insomniac Records — written and produced by Curtis Fallis.

  • Outsider (2003) on Navigation Records — a breakout track featured on Nick Warren’s Global Underground 024, giving Burufunk international recognition.

  • Stateside (2001) — an electro/breakbeat vinyl release showcasing his signature production style.

  • Bass Mekanik ft. Afro‑Rican – Do It (Burufunk Mix) (2001) — a breakbeat remix credited to Curtis Fallis.

  • Carbon Community vs. Burufunk – Community Funk (2007) — a vinyl collaboration on Shiznit Recordings. Remixed by Deadmau5, it is widely considered one of Deadmau5's most influential early remixes, notably ranking as one of the top-selling tracks in Beatport's history.

Keri — DJ, Producer, Vocalist, Songwriter, Creative Director

Keri Calaway, (professionally known as DJ Keri) has built a long-standing reputation as a versatile DJ, producer, and vocalist whose work has appeared across radio, television, film, and gaming. Over more than two decades, she became known for being a pioneering vocal turntablist, singing over her dj sets live, which set her apart from other dj's — a combination that made her a recognizable name in the EDM community.

Her career highlights include:

  • Music placements across independent films, video games, commercials, satellite radio, and mainstream radio, both nationally and internationally.

  • A consistent presence in the electronic music scene for over 25 years, releasing radio‑friendly dance tracks and remixes.

  • A catalog that includes fan‑favorite singles such as “No Tears,” “Drums In The Club,” “Beautiful Girl,” and “In My Eyes.”

  • Early DJ career beginning in 1994, turning professional in 1998, and performing across clubs, festivals, and events throughout the U.S & globally.

  • Full‑length releases including Dreams (1999), Dream Keeper (2003), Can U Feel It? (2004), Now's the Time! (2011), My Most Requested (2015), Le Descends (2016/2024) along with appearances on major compilations and soundtracks.

  • Infamously renowned for posing for Playboy's 50th anniversary music issue where she was deemed one of the hottest female DJ's alive which then led to her being featured in other popular male magazines such as FHM & Maxim globally.
